Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale 2026
Lot 131 bay filly Snitzel – Bubbleberry (Statue Of Liberty) $325,000 (draft: Coolmore Stud)
Straight from one of the sharpest two-year-old families in the book, this Snitzel filly is all about speed, class and early promise. From the moment she stepped out, she had that unmistakable Snitzel look - balanced, athletic and built to run. Add a dam line that screams precocity, and you’ve got a filly made for the fast lane.
The filly is by four-time Champion Sire in Australia, and four-time Champion Two-Year-Old Sire Snitzel, regarded as a breed shaping stallion, like his sire Redoute’s Choice and grandsire Danehill.
Snitzel stood at Arrowfield Stud for $247,500 + GST before passing in 2025, thus making his progeny rare commodities.
Te Akau principal David Ellis CNZM has proven to be a great judge of yearlings by Snitzel, when buying Group One winning Champion Two-Year-Old Sword Of State, now an exciting young sire at Cambridge Stud, unbeaten Group One winning two-year-old Return To Conquer, along with recent dual winner King’s English.
Snitzel progeny have recorded over 300 stakes wins, including 33 Group One wins, and his two-year-old fillies have won the Golden Slipper (Gr. 1, 1200m) three times.
Dam Bubbleberry won as a two-year-old over 1100 metres in Australia, and her three offspring to race have all won – 10 races in total – including dual Group Three placed mare Jump The Broom (Sebring).
The sire of Bubbleberry is incredibly well bred Coolmore stallion Statue Of Liberty (Storm Cat), a high-class two-year-old winner in Europe, who has shuttled between Japan, Ireland, and Australia.
Granddam Bubble Below (Hussonet) produced five winners, including Lucky Bubbles (Sebring), winner of eight races including the Chairman’s Sprint (Gr. 1, 1200m) in Hong Kong.
“She’s an outstanding type, really classy individual, from a sharp two-year-old producing family, and she looks the sort to run early,” said David Ellis.
“She is really stamped in the mould of Snitzel, is beautifully balanced, has a great walk, and we took an instant liking to her during our inspections.”
The filly carries a bloodline cross to Storm Bird (Northern Dancer), sire of legendary stallion Storm Cat, on the dam line of Snitzel and sire line of Bubbleberry.
