The filly is by successful young sire Lucky Vega, by world-class sire Lope de Vega (Shamardal), and out of a mare by reigning Australian Champion Broodmare Sire Fastnet Rock (Danehill).

A Group One winner and twice Group One placed in Europe, Lucky Vega was as a high-class two-year-old and described by his trainer as good-looking and intelligent. His sire, Lope de Vega, won the French 2000 Guineas and French Derby, produced Group winners worldwide and proved a great sire of sires.

With his oldest crop now three-year-olds, Lucky Vega is the sire of high-quality juvenile Within The Law, an impressive stakes winner in the Inglis 2YO (Listed, 1000m) on debut at Flemington, won the Nursery Stakes (Listed, 1000m) and brilliantly won the Embrace Stakes (Gr. 2, 1200m), both at Randwick.

From an international female family, dam Twisted Reality was a two-year-old winner over 1600 metres in England, is a half-sister to three winners including multiple Group & Listed placed Saint George (Roaring Lion), and this is her first foal.

Granddam Lady Dragon is by the great 12-time Champion Sire and breed shaper Galileo (Sadler’s Wells), while third dam Spinola (Spinning World) produced Champion 3YO Filly Dorcia (Henrythenavigator).

“She’s a beautiful loose-walking filly, typical of the breed, by a really exciting young sire and with a dam line featuring the best blood in the world (Galileo),” said David Ellis.

“Fastnet Rock is a sire that Te Akau has experienced a lot of success with and he has risen to the top as broodmare sire, as well, with over 150 stakes winners, so it’s a big factor in her pedigree.

“She has the looks of furnishing into an outstanding physical specimen, has a faultless temperament, behaved beautifully on the sale grounds and in the ring, and has an enormous amount of quality.

“The pedigree suggests having the natural precocity to race as a two-year-old, and she has all the right attributes to train on as she matures.”

The filly carries a Danzig (Northern Dancer) cross on the dam line of Lucky Vega and sire line of Twisted Reality, as the sire of Danehill.
